Based on a conversation from award-winning war photographer, Harriet Logan, and her son, Freddie Logan, “The Art Within The Conflict” tells the story of the extreme situations that war photographers may find themselves in when risking their lives to tell the stories of those who are victim to the conflict that surrounds them.

The real life story of how survivors of Syria’s most notorious prisons have teamed up with an unlikely regime defector, who smuggled out evidence of mass killings, and are now seeking justice for these war crimes.

8. UNDER THE SKIN: IN CONVERSATION WITH ANISH KAPOOR (23m, Italy) – A FILM BY MARTINA MARGAUX COZZI. TRAILER INTERVIEW

Anish Kapoor, one of the most iconic artists of our century, returns to the emblematic city of Rome for a timeless conversation about art. He presents an astonishing exhibition of his latest work that is an intimate and shocking dialectic between terror and sublime.

9. FRIENDLY FACES & SAFE SPACES (9m, Canada) – A FILM BY LEAH GALLOWAY. TRAILER

Together with his fiancé Tony Babcock, Steven Botelho is attempting to change the world with his puppetry, and bring forth a new perspective of the reality of the different disabilities young children may come across as they grow up, and how they can work to look past them to see the person for who they are.

10. ARCHITECTURE OF THE UNIVERSE (7m, USA) – A FILM BY ISAAC FERNANDEZ.

This film features a powerful energy contained and molded into a calligraphy Contemporary Artist Quim Bové applies in his pieces with the objective of creating a dialogue between the viewer and the artwork. His works are an expression of the dynamic universal forces of energy, motion, and gravity.

11. A CLUB CALLED RHONDA (6m, USA) – A FILM BY GREG FERRO. TRAILER

A Club Called Rhonda is an exploration of the cultural phenomenon that hit LA in 2008 with the opening of the eponymous club. It’s an insight into the free and inclusive spirit of a unique environment, in which the social norms imposed on our daily lives no longer apply.
