The judges reserve the right not to enter into correspondence following the announcement of a winner.
To qualify for a cash prize, the winner must satisfy all terms of their category and attend the festival in person to receive the award.
The judges reserve the right not to award a cash prize where there is no clear winner in a category, where the winner is not in attendance, or where a sponsor cannot honour its financial pledge. The applicant shall hold New Renaissance Film Festival harmless from claims, liabilities, losses, damages or expenses arising in such circumstances.
If an award winner is not in attendance, the festival will not ship trophies or certificates after the event.
The applicant shall indemnify and hold New Renaissance Film Festival harmless from claims, liabilities, losses, damages and expenses—including reasonable legal fees and court costs—arising from claims involving copyright, trademark, advertised cash prizes, credits, publicity, screening, or loss of or damage to submitted screening files.
Where circumstances require, the festival may replace a live screening with an On Demand presentation. The festival will take reasonable steps to avoid this but cannot be held responsible for technical difficulties occurring during or as a result of an On Demand presentation.
