“One must be able to part and still be like a tree: the roots remaining in the ground, landscape passing and we are fixed.” (Hilde Domin)
This non-narrative animated film is a poetic reflection on the issue of “HOME” and the experience of the ‘outland’ as a new home. A collage of fragments from poems by Hilde Domin and an overlay of sketchy drawings and sound elements, combine to describe the search for inner peace.
Urte Zintler is an animator for motion pictures. She creates 2D digital and 3D images and also works as a senior lecturer for the Animation Institute, based at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, and as a Visiting Lecturer for the Kassel School of Art and Design.
