Choi discovers his mother, who suffers from advanced Dementia, has gone missing. He puts a notice on a social networking site to try to find her, which attracts the attention of many Internet users. He then takes things further by posting a short video, in which he shares memories of his mother and her experience of the disease. The video goes viral, and the challenge to find her begins.

Hong Heng Fei is a Macau-based film director who has completed four short films since 2014, including BEFORE DAWN, CAGED, IN MEMORY OF HER and CRASH.

CRASH was awarded the ‘Best Narrative Film’ at the 16th South Taiwan Film Festival and the ‘Best Narrative Short Film’ at the ’13th China Independent Film Festival’. It was also screened at the ’14th SHNIT International Short Film Festival’, the ’32nd Interfilm Short Film Festival Berlin’, and been nominated for ‘The Best Live Action Short Film’ at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards.
